Component Level Obsolescence

ADTEC USA can take up and work with customers in identifying the drop-in replacement component, preparing the specifications and testing/qualification requirements of components. The below example illustrates the key components demonstrating the capability in specifying, manufacturing, testing, qualification expertise.

Color Palette – ADV453

The ADV453 (Color Palette) component, originally manufactured by M/s Analog Devices had been used in the Avionics Computers. This component had become obsolete and there was no equivalent part available in the market. However, since these Avionics Computers are still in Active Production by production house, we have developed an equivalent part AT-RAMDAC453, which is a pin-to pin replacement for the ADV453 Color Palette component. The functional prototype of this component was verified and found to be working satisfactorily.

Subsequently, the engineering version of the component has been fabricated and evaluated through detailed environmental tests to verify the suitability of using this component in Production.
